Born and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania, Gabrielė studied Social Anthropology at University of Kent, UK. Since finishing her degree, she has continued to work on different projects related to documentary photography, film-making and writing in Berlin. In the beginning of September 2019, Gabrielė, equipped with a Nikon film camera and a 65l backpack has ermbarked  on a journey through the Balkan mountains and cities down to Turkey for the winter, with later plans left to crystalise themselves when the time comes.

Gabrielė's photography is a growing collection of observations. They can be taken as an attempt to familiarise with different people and places around Europe and beyond, as well as to get to know the familiar through an unusual, new perspective.

This collection is enriched with irony, colours, angles, moods and scenery which together  inspire the viewer to further wonder about how random passing moment captures a social reality, but is nevertheless highly affected by a subjective take on photography as an art form.
